Just added this to my build thread as well...

Paid another visit to eFab to check on the 335 today. Seeing the way tubing is bent to fit... it's artwork. There are a number of spots in the car where the tubing runs directly along the structure of the car, that allowed us to weld the cage directly to the body of the car; increasing rigidity while avoiding the need to add weight from gussets. Seriously impressive work.

The plan is to have the cage done done in the next few days, then paint it, then install all wiring. From there, it'll be a few days to install the widebody, and another week (??) installing MCS suspension, CSF radiator and a bunch of other miscellaneous odds and ends (fire suppression, door pulls, new serp belt/pulleys, mounting new buttons/kill switches, mounting race seats, etc.) I'll say right now that I've never been a part of a build that is this extensive. It gives you a massive amount of appreciation for the level of skill and time required to undertake this project. Couldn't be more excited to watch this come together.

Here's a dump of photos I shot tonight... let me know if you guys have any questions.

Look at the bracing in the roof. Serious roll protection.

Right there the front end is 60-70% stiffer than the rear. The pics you've posted here of your car show this. Both the stock sway bar setup, and the aftermarket sway-bar setup, are also under-steer biased in how much effective wheel rate they add under cornering which further exasperates the F:R bias differential.
Math doesn't always correlate to real world experience, but IMO I suppose.

Lots of people tried to setup STX cars on math, and have failed.

But whatever, go ahead with excel spreadsheets.

It's not about math... the math just confirms what I've experienced first hand by trying different setups in an autocross setting.

The reality is that I have 336lb/in up front (6K), no sway bar, and if I go any stiffer the front-end slides out (the car understeers). I run 200tw tires 255/40/17 on 9" wheels same as you. Anything stiffer is detrimental and decreases the overall grip of the car.

Not even sure what you are trying to debate... you said it yourself, your car pushed at the limit and you clear as day have it set up to handle that way. Whether or not you believe you needed the car to be setup this way to be "fast" is an entirely different argument which is what you seem to ACTUALLY be trying to debate.

I've demonstrated that the car was quick. Don't think there was ever a debate about that.

Run wheel rates on my FRS it'll tell me the same thing as the 128i did. Way more front wheel rate than rear. However that car doesn't push like the 128 did.

A pushy car is a faster car to drive consistent. The fact you run no swaybar is well, interesting. But everyone has their thoughts and beliefs on what works. So have fun and enjoy

Don't think I'm alone in saying that this spat between you guys is way OT. Start a new thread to debate BR-Z vs 128i. Save this thread for race car photos please.

That said, here are a few legit, full blown GT race cars I shot at IMSA at Road America a few weeks ago.

Canada Corner

In the paddocks with THE Porsche 911 RSR.

And the Visit Florida Prototype. For some reason, I don't think the dude by the door is the driver

Completely trolling you guys. BBK is all about increasing performance while decreasing unsprung weight. I saw those on IG and couldn't help myself. It'll either be a 4 or 6 piston BBK for me when it's time to upgrade.
Ok, will let you slide this time. But just this time! since you are making a serious effort to make the e90 better track car than the BRZ/FSR :-) I'm not familiar with the guys from E-fab that they seem to know what they are doing. Regarding brakes you would probably want 6 piston progressive calipers and some thick rotors. Size does matter as Aus335iguy said but greater thickness is better than larger diameter. Yes?
