Can gearboxes be coded?

I drive my M-Sport Auto on the paddles but in car-parks and slow-moving traffic I use D. The problem is that it is always in a gear that feels higher than I would like. DS is a bit too sporty for car-parks and town-centres.

Can the gearbox be re=coded to make D a bit more sport-orientated?
