yup as I said low 70's on a run , your stats will be open. The EGR one takes a matter of minutes, the main stat is a bit of a pig. Just ensure you get even pressure on the bolts of the housing when installing to get a good seal against the block. And you need G48 coolant too, you may as well do a full coolant change whilst your at it. A good parts motorstore will sell this, you don't have to go to BMW

Got it sorted changed the pair with genuine parts, took a long trip to get them but at least i know

took me around 50mins to complete quite a simple job compared to changing the pressure converters

I'm now getting 92-94 on a run and my mpg has finally gone up

Thanks for all your help

Mine does that mob17 but I don't know why mine does it, I have a 330d same engine really. But mine rarely goes overs 90 although I don't have a Dpf so won't see a regen.

Mine I find if I accelerate it might go up 1-2c but once on overrun it drops about 5c. I read there is a thermostat in the gearbox oil cooler near the radiator but have never changed it or checked it out. I personally can't see why they would need one there but it could be that I suppose.

Is you mpg poor? If not leave it at that, that's all I do with Mine I get 34mpg most tanks

Well mpg isn't great unless i do 70mph on cruise then it can get to 46-50mpg. In stop start town its 23-25mpg.

The temp does go to 98c when a regen is taking place so i suppose its ok.

You motorway mpg is perfect, you town driving depends on how heavy the traffic is.. lots of stop starting and speeding off at lights etc.. will see 25 mpg as normal too... How is your power delivery in the lower range below 2k revs do you have boost? or is it laggy?. Just if small turbo is not being used/cutting in, this will also see a higher mpg, also MAF issues can cause a higher mpg too. Is it mapped?

Update on this, My MPG average over the month has slowly dropped to 21 so I clearly still have a problem somewhere, my temps are still at 87-91 so nothing wrong with the bmw stats I fitted

yeah I don't hang about I know my way round my engine bay, 4 hours is quite a long time, 2 hours max if you have minimal idea what your doing

not sure if there are any guides, when looking what to do it all makes sense
