F30 front top mount on E9x

Hey Guys,

I know e46 owners use the e9x xdrive front strut top mounts to lower the cars.

Wondering if we can do the same with f30 top mounts. They look lower profile than the e9x and slightly stronger.

My e92 came with lower sport top mounts then BMW stopped making them, now all models must use the same size top mount.

Thoughts?

F30 mounts have the strut bar mount built in, and would require a notch in the upper strut tower for it to fit.

No but you can use e9x xDrive mounts to accomplish the same thing. I think they're a much better design. I used them on my car and really like them.

That sound perfect what’s the height difference between the mounts?

The xDrive mount does look like it’s a lot more heavy duty with thiose gussets in the casting.

They're about 12mm lower, if both are new. They seem to have less of the jiggly feeling I had with the OE mounts too, though some of that could be because they're brand new. I'm happy with them.
