I need serious help with my 335i e93

I have a 2008 335i E93 and I am having a few issues. My anti-trap system won't work. Windows will not drop half an inch. Back windows are not going down only dropping about 3 inches until I have to press the button, again and again, to get them all the way down. Convertible top won't work just unlocks and won't move at all. The previous owner swapped the CAS and DME from a 4 door car. When I took my car to the dealer to get these problems checked out they said it was because of the CAS and DME were from a 4 door car and that my car thinks its a 4 door car and won't let the windows work or the convertible top work. I think this is complete bullshit but I need some input on this and how I can go at fixing these issues. I've already tried reinitializing the windows through INPA and through the button method and it doesn't work.

It sounds like any fix that might exist would surely involve coding/flashing the modules.

Might be worth posting in the Coding subforum. I agree it sounds like BS, but in certain cases there can be hardware differences between modules that affect their applications.

The coding folks might be able to at least tell you if they're feeding you lines.

It is likely not complete bullshit. There are settings in CAS related to window operation and convertible top operation. If your CAS came from a sedan, you'll at least need to re-code with NCSExpert and probably flash an appropriate program file with WinKFP. That is my guess only. IDK for sure.

Not sure why the dealer couldn't accomplish that for you. Guess #1 is that the dealer is lazy and uninformed about coding/programming issues. Guess #2 is that you'll actually need to replace other modules.

EDIT: sorry, quoted wrong post
