Less rotational mass for the brakes to deal with as well for the engine to spin. Also, less mass for the suspension, dampers in particular, to work with during rebound.
Been planning on switching to 18" Apex wheels too. Not sure how much lighter they are than oem 18" considering they's be a bit wider than oem alloys but if they shed another 4-5lbs I'll be pleased once again.

I have the APEX ARC-8 (18 X 8.5) wheels and they weigh 18.4 pounds apiece. My OEM style 397 (18 X 8) wheels weighed right at 27 pounds apiece. Plus when I switched from run flat tires to Michelin PSS, I saved another two pounds per tire.

And when I fill my tires with helium. . .

Bottom line though, would you use these rotors on a track/street car?

I personally would, but then again, I would use anything. One weekend I needed rear pads. Had front spare so I cut them in shape and used them in the rear. They worked so well that I just left them. Again, that is just me...

Thanks, that's valuable input. It's between this and keeping the Carbotech pads and installing the RB front rotors I already have and changing over to Pagid RS29 pads, assuming that's an acceptable pad to use with RB rotors.

Each pound of the rotor is equal to ten pounds of car body weight. That is the formula to convert unladen vs. body weight. So you are shedding equal to about 45 lbs. x 4 of car body weight.

I notice immediately the acceleration, agility and braking improvements when I installed mine. Will never go stock again. It's that much of a difference.
