Newbie Q's from an E91 335i Owner

First up - don't shoot me down, no pics yet as I collected yesterday and the car is filthy!

Love the way it drives, having had an N54 335i convertible in the past, this sounds quieter. Have any N55 335i owners replaced exhausts on here? what have people opted for. Looking for 1st hand experience.

Second thing is - I am on the lookout for some new wheels want to keep it looking OEM or maybe an OEM+ look. Can't find anything I actually like other than the 313's or an Alpina Dynamic. Any inspiration most welcome!

Will update with pics in due course.

N55 should be louder as it only has the primary cat but it does have a second "resonator" rather than a X pipe like the convertible has.

To make it louder, Replace resonator with X pipe and get the PE mod done to the back box.

Thanks for the feedback - is that what you have on yours?

I do like the look of them but I have an issue with running reps so was funnily enough just searching a BBS alternative which looks similar.

Plenty of quality rep wheels, speak to C M Wheels, I've had 2 setof of wheels from him, hit potholes etc with them, never an issue, infact id say they were stronger than factory rims as we all know how crap 313's are for cracking etc.

Nope. Mine is standard but I did look into what I could do to make it louder.

One immediate way of making the exhaust louder is to remove the vac pipe from the exhaust valve. This is on the nearside backbox. Simply remove the pipe when the car is off. The valve then remains open at all times. I did this on both my N54 and N55. Worked a treat for no additional outlay.
