Hello,

I noticed there was some stain on the rear leather seat... Since i rarely drive and the car used to have 5% rear cheap window tint, i have never really noticed it until today when i went hiking.

Anyway, does anyone have a suggestion on how to remove this? It doesn't look like oil judging by me wiping my finger on it. I used this car meguiar cleaner + conditioner already and also tried water but they won't just come out (It's not sticky at all. It looks like just discoloration).

Really not sure what it is. I know the previous owner personally and we blieve it may be from a box that could have been carrying a leaked bottle or a roadtrip with a sweaty friend... I reached out to him but he can't remember lol but we are pretty sure it's something that leaked when he was traveling a long distance.

Is the only way to re-dye the seat to the original color? Fortunately, it looks like it's only on the (lower) back area.

I've seen detailer use a steamer and a towel to get leather seats clean, the leather opens up and the towel between the two contains the water. Then followup with something like Lexol Cleaner then Conditioner.

I would agree with tcphoto. Try a steamer, towel, and some sort of leather cleaner. I just tried to clean my seats tonight with a similar stain, but it didn't come out all the way. It looked like dog slobber from the last owner...

Maybe these seats are just harder to clean?

If there's a cleaner that could get it out, it's Leatherique. It's pricy and funky but it's the best leather product out there, and your other seats will love it too.

If that doesn't, I'd look into ColorBond to re-color it. It's aerosol but designed for leather and you could just toot it in the right spots to get a nice blend.
