Would be nice if AA set about making one since they did ask what product we would like next after the headers were released.

Solution: I have remedied this by flashing 325i transmission software on my 330i.
The 325i engine has less torque and less power, so BMW programmed its tranny software to downshift more readily and rev a bit higher before shifts. These differences are very subtle, but when applied to the more torquey and powerful 330i, it feels just right!

With 325i ZF software, the 330i feels more sprited, precise, and normal where shift logic is concerned. Stock 330i software is slow to downshift, often lugging a bit or requiring large throttle inputs to provoke a gearchange.

My 330i never experienced the throttle lag upon initial tip in that affect so many.
The throttle did at times feel soft, likely due to the being in a less than performance optimal gear. This sensation is now gone. In fact, with the 325i software the engine/transmissions response to the throttle now seems "normal", an upgrade from the dismal throttle/tranny mapping I've experienced in BMWs since the death of the mechanical throttlebodies.

Anyway, here are the details for anyone who may be interested.
The 2006 330i current ZF auto software is zb# was 7572901.

I Flashed to ZB # 7572903 which is the latest software for the 2006 325i.

There is also a zb# 7589227 which has better downshift rev match abilities (still not Infiniti level) but it is upshifts at 6500rpm, effectively reducing our N52 redline. I assume 7589227 is from an M54 5 series with the ZF, hence the low redline. But that's beside the point of this post. Just rambling.
I'm interested on doing this too. DIY or a brief guide to flash would be awesome. I tried to see if there are any updates for my 330i, as you stated it's on ZB# 7572901 which is latest. How can I select zb# 7572903? I tried with winkfp and shows me the same jb# thats currently installed.
Thank you

I already have that zb#7572901 installed on my 330i. Just wondering about the process of flashing zb#7572903 from 325i to my 330i as OP did.
Thank you

7589227 is for a European-market E90 with a N46B20OL engine. You're probably correct on 7572903, it's for an E90 with a N52B30UL for the US market. I don't remember if E90 calls that a 325i or a 328i, I'm an E90 guy.

You can open up the *.0da file and read the comments on every file, many don't have any comments. But GKE211 descriptor files normally do. The file you want is the ZUSB number you flashed +1.

Good idea.

I found the shifting to be so much better after the AA tune. I know its not a transmission flash but my transmission shifting sure feels so much better after the AA tune.

There are a few members in the 335D forum that have been putting a lot of time into this problem. They don't have a solution yet but it's not for the "lack of trying".

Suggest reading the transmission reflash thread from the diesel section. Help out if you know how.

For that you would need to upgrade the mechatronic to a 03/07 unit and flash Alpina B3 software to the tranny.
Can anyone confirm this actually works on the 6HP19?
