I have seen the ones with the added spring. But not a true power lift and might cause issues with the struts later on.
It seems like there is a strong interest in soft close doors and a power trunk. If I have extra time this summer I will look into it. The biggest issue is that F series parts are so expensive.

Yes please! Power lift (upon pressing trunk handle, remote, or kick panel button) and power close with button. Even if it wasn't soft-close and it just pulled the lid down until it fell and latched itself. This would be a mod I might actually do to my car. BMW parts or off-the-shelf. IDC. Always in and out of the trunk with full arms.

Actually another mod I want to do to my own car is red "tail lights" in the sill/jamb area of the door. So when you have your door open at night bikes/cars coming up adjacent won't rip it off or worse. I think Audis and Volvos have them. It involves cutting the steel though!

All the ideas sound great...for an easy one, I like the idea of warning triangle retrofit. That one should be added regardless which other wins.
