Microfiber towel alternative?
Long story short, i lost my microfiber towel. Getting ready to polish my car. Ive heard you can use a cotton t-shirt? I just need it to buff the polish. Ive also got some sham-wow towels and some soft bath towels lol

There is no alternative. Go buy a new towel.
And if you're polishing how the hell do you only have one towel? |

Yeah I don't get that either, don't skimp out, microfiber towels are cheap, I only use them a couple times before I toss them... not worth it to wash and dry honestly.
I buy the big packs at Costco, the towels come out to be super cheap that way... I can't remember off the top of my head but I seem to remember less than a dollar a towel... some say the costco towel isn't a good quality, but for how cheap they are, I haven't noticed any issues and I throw them out before they get old and scratch the paint. Harbor freight is also good for MF towel, super cheap, but I don't use them on the paint, just wheels and interior |

What the hell is going on in these forums nowadays?! As time passes, the degree of dumbass questions just sinks lower and lower...
This seems like a post you'd see on some Cash for Clunkers forums, if such a thing existed.

> “omg HELP mE, iM unable to google” or “crazy situation” I always go into “crazy situation” threads expecting an incredible story about adultery and the po-po. Never pans out - it’s always someone that’s never opened the manual and they can’t figure out why the triangle is. If we keep headed in this direction we’ll prolly make it on a season of tv show COPS. I’m looking forward to it. |

OP: a soft cotton shirt will do no harm, back in the day that's all there was. Make sure it's 100% cotton |

It's the Millennial way, ask first, ask last, when all else fails, ask someone else. Why do the research yourself when you can just ask someone for the answer?

But I mean you said it yourself, why lose time searching when you can do a quick post on a forum and let people help you out. It's free. I sometime go by that if my searches are inconclusive. Last edited by TheMidnightNarwhal; 04-15-2019 at 10:15 AM.. |

Your one microfiber towel? Go out and buy a fresh pack, you'll thank yourself later.

Nope, you aren't the only one. I have piles of The Rag Company, Chemical Guys, and some called Cookie Monster. TRC towels can be bought in 10 packs for around $35 cdn, eagle or creature, just have to keep an eye out for them.

How is making a thread and waiting for someone to provide an answer (if even a correct one at that) quicker than searching? You're literally waiting on someone to chime in, when 99% of the time the information is already there at your fingertips. That thought process literally doesn't make sense when using the internet. I can count on one hand how many new threads have been posted that legitimately ask not-previously-asked questions to unique problems in like the last 12 months.
