330d auto question

In D or DS what is the normal rpm to change up under WOT. Seems like mine takes ages to change up. Like 4,500rpm maybe even more. Feels like its revving its nuts off

Gear changes on the upshift can be quite savage aswell 😳😳

If your at full throttle then its going to rev right out...

I have a manual, but i'm fairly sure it revs higher than 4500 if you keep it pegged, pretty close to 5000 before the governor/rev limit kicks in.

Yep, that's what DS mode does and to be honest I would be very disappointed if sport mode didn't hang on to the gears longer than normal drive.

It can be done at home but it isn't a simple DIY and you have to ensure the gearbox is at a certain temperature, and then resetting the adaptations is also a good idea. It depends how much you can do, it's certainly more than what i could do at home without proper ramps.

I'd give Steve @ A1BN a call he's done loads of these incl mine. Your problem could be something else but doing an ATF change is a good maintenance thing to do anyway, and there's a strong chance it will sort your gear changes. But Steve can advise more on this.

Or if you want to DIY ask gaza01 aka shaun, i think he did his by himself
