Can anyone direct me to a touch up paint DIY or link that can give me some pointers? this is harder than i thought.

Personally if you have the funds just get a respray or a wrap. It will look much better.

You mean when one gets a 2mm chip in the paint from a rock hit this is a reason enough for a respray or wrap?

No I mean when you have 50 chips that are a few cm wide across the whole front you could get a CF hood wrap.

If you don't have the funds just make sure that you used dr colorchip (I have heard its good) and watch some of the videos on YouTube.

The trick is not to rush. Filling with a tiny bit of paint every few days works for me. Wet sand and polish to finish it. It also depends on the color you are working with. Repairing flat black or white is much easier than a light metallic color.

Air brush the touch up...IMO using the physical brush sux streaks are everywhere, harbor freight tools have cheep air brushes.. touchup might need to be reduced. Good Luck

Dr. Colorchip or Langka+touch up paint is the easiest way to go. The harder way not resorting to a respray producing better results is DIY spray paint.

i just have a 1mm imperfection on my door, i don't need a respray or a wrap, nor do i have to worry about having "the funds".

I have the BMW touch-up paint for my car and thought someone can point me to a DIY

uhh... when you have 50 chips on your hood, then you need new paintjob, not touch up paint. Touch up paint is for a tiny imperfection.

the original bmw touch-up paint is pretty good; the brush has some quality.
