M sport package outside dealer..?

Hi guys,

I was wondering where I can install the M sport package onto my car (just the exterior would be fine) for cheaper than BMWHK

Hey BMWseeker

try Valiant or Detuscheland autoparts. around 13-14k for a set without Paint, also you need to tell them that you want the M tech Rear underbody tray, M tech Wheel Liners and the Air Ducts for Brake, Oil ETc if you have a 335. GL

Do you own a paint shop? Unless you're going for the mad ghetto mtech look, you might need a little help

I've ordered mine for much less from Valiant. They have an in house BMW specialist who will list out all the parts you need if you have a 335i.

Can you read chinese? Go on car8.com and call a few of the body shops listed there. I'm waiting for another forum member to give me some recommendations.

I do not own a paint shop, but my MTech kit is being painted now, and the install is not hard at all, I had to do much more complex retrofits before, this is basically plug and play, the rear took a while to take off but with patience and the right tools it only took like and hour and if i had to do it again it would take much less, the front is where it took the longest.

BMWseeker shoot me a PM if you need help finding all the parts, we can check and see if buying it state side and shipping it to you will end up being cheaper than just getting it from BMW HK.

From what I understand, the front is not plug and play if you want air to flow properly to the brake ducts and oil cooler. You need to cut away some framing to fit the proper mtech specific ducting . Also the rear bumper should come off super easily if you pull it up and under. That guy who has got a DIY on YouTube was doing it completely wrong.

Its interesting that your body shop wouldn't just throw in the install as part of the painting fee. But on second thoughts, I would probably do it myself if Hong kong wasn't the most cramped place on Earth

I'm not entirely sure. It was $8,800 for the just the retrofit kit, and I think with the requisite extra's for a 335i it came out to around $10k. The only drawback is the 8 week wait, but whatever. Hate to kill ECS's sale, but shipping a bulky body kit from the states has got to cost more than that by itself. I think they'd even have a hard time beating the base price. Unless OP is in a mad rush, bide your time. After all, time does make the heart gore fonder

Hi guys, thanks for all the replies

I am going to email Valiant to see what they are going to quote.

As to ECSTuning, I appreciate your suggestion, and will PM you once I have the local prices for comparison.

Well I trust the paint shop but i dont want them doing any of the cutting or putting on the new wheel wells and the new ducts so i decided I have a huge garage, I will just do it myself.

The DIY on youtube is dumb, I removed the rear bumper in like 20 mins with a smoke break.

Do you have an Alpine White e92 front bumper in perfect condition?

Edit: Dammit just noticed you have the sedan.

Start a new thread and post pictures. If you can read Chinese, put them up for sale on 28car.com

Edit: also don't call them leftovers. Refer to them as "shiny-like new bumpers and side-skirts that will give your car a really clean look"

Haha, that's the nicest thing anyone has said to me on this forum. I sell shiny objects for a living and you gotta do what it takes to make it happen . Good luck with your bumpers.

I too have a totally bling , like new E92 335i rear-bumper and side skirts for sale. They'll make your totally tricked out ride look soo clean again. Seriously, you have a DD carbon fiber diffuser? Let me do you a favor and we'll just do an even trade. I was gonna charge you $1,000, but I'm in a good mood today
