90K miles - Preventitive Maintenance

Hey guys,

My 2008 335xi rolled 90K miles last night. I'm thinking about replacing belt, tensioner and guide pulleys as a precaution. Does that make sense at this point? What about radiator hoses?
  • Plugs and injectors are new within the last few months.
  • Walnut blast within 25K miles
  • Coils within 25K miles
  • All fluids currently "on schedule"

I can't think of any other preventitive items to do at this point. Anyone have recommendations?

Thanks much

Not sure if you have diff fluid on the schedule, but it sounds like people change this one too even though it's supposed to be lifetime. Every 2 years I want to say?

Thanks!

Did trans and diffs at about 60k...probably wait until 100k and do them again.

Wait on the radiator. Do it when it breaks. Mine started leaking a couple weeks ago (@124K), and it wasnt one of the hoses. It was the radiator itself, so the whole piece had to be replaced. I did the hoses at the same time. Might just do it when it goes, and do it once.

You have an XI so I don't think you're affected by the belt shredding early models have. Wait until it starts to make noise.

Interesting; i didn't realize the belt shredding issue was limited to NON XI....

Oil filter housing oil leak was addressed when my water pump failed as was the T-stat!!

Great list guys. Seems like i'm relatively up to date.
