i think its definately cool looking. i'd would rather have the 335 for a few grand more though, hands down. and as i'd assume, the demand will be high for this thing, so you probably wouldn't get much off of msrp so there'd be a marginal difference in price for the 335.

it looks great IRL, I live near BMWNA and I've seen a couple its going to be a fun little car......I'm upset that the 1series gets the M6 cup holder but we didn't get it in the M3, I don't usually drink in my cars but if I'm going to have a cup holder this would be it...

Probably not. Supposed to be a low production car compared to the 3-series I think.

Interestingly enough, I disagree with most people, I like the front 50% of the car from all angles. The rear 50% of the car though, I think is AWFUL ...The 5-door should be much better. I really liked the previous version that was availiable in Europe so... To each their own though, no hating.

But either way, I think the interior is spot-on But is it just me or do almost all BMW interiors look THE SAME?

I think it looks pretty good. If the price wasnt so high. I think i would definitely get it if the price wasnt so high. It is about the same cost as the 335. Do anyone knows whens it coming out?

Front is fugly, especially how the lights slope down!!
The rear is the best part.

BTW, I hate it when people say "..it's growing on me"
A cars looks should not "grow on you", mold grows on you, bacteria grows on you but not the design of a car.
If a design is beautiful, it should hit you the first time you take a look at it, it shouldn't "grow on you". So stop saying that.

Without sounding confrontational, I would tend to disagree with this. I think that an adjustment period is only natural. The way automotive design develops is through slow but constant changes over the years. Therefore, it is only natural that it would take our minds time to adjust to a new design, to stretch the boundaries of what we expect a good-looking car to look like. For example, a ’08 Ferrari would definitely be considered beautiful by today’s standards. However, if we asked someone from, say, 50 years ago, they would undoubtedly disagree.

Sorry I understand that every one has their own taste. But to me this car is absolutely terrible looking. The profile looks like it bows up on both ends like a boat (due to the lines on the lower panel of the door) and looks like a very fat person has sat in the drivers seat, and the front end looks like it is ready to be sick.

I agree a lot of BMW's designs need to grow on you, but what does that mean? If it is a good design shouldn't you fall in love with it the first time you see it. I guess some times your eye has to get used to change, but in a lot of cases (for me any ways) when I see a car I know right away if I like it or not and that is the car I am buying.

Anyways to me the car is overpriced, too heavy, and ugly. But if it drives half way decent (which it sounds like it will) there will be quite a few sold.

Interior looks good tho!

The color is hot, and I'm usually not a fan of the beige shade.

FWIW, I think it looks GREAT, and I like the color, too. So shoot me. I doubt I'll ever buy one, I'm happy with the E90 and if anything, the next car will be larger and not smaller. Unfortunately.

E90 = design grew on me.
E92 and E93 = I liked right off the bat.
1er = has grown on me. I like it!
