Loud Squeaking at Low RPM

Wondering if when I take my car in for service at 30k miles, will they fix it? Whenever I have driven my car for a couple minutes, when I start driving slowly from stopped, it makes a very loud squeaking sound. It does it mostly when I am going up an incline (parking garage) or around a bend. The squeaking gets louder and quicker the faster I go, up until around 20 mph.

Not only is it annoying, its rather embarrassing when I drive my 08 335i in my work parking garage and everyone looks at me bc of the noises it makes...

You sure?

The sound isnt happening when I am breaking, it's when im accelerating...

I think it's your belt.
I had the same issue--dealer replaced a belt and it was fine.

Yes, it's a very common problem, and the noise seems to come from the rear brake pads. It's worst if you turn right at low speeds, especially if the brakes are warmed up after travelling in stop and go trafic.

It started doing this on my car at +/- 44.000 km, and the rear pads are due to be replaced in 2.000 km. The noise should be gone afterwards.

same here brought it in for oil change and asked to have it looked at the guy said yup your brakes skeak....but there is plenty left..
This is common and we cant fix.........50k = embarassing squeaky breaks....if you dont like it buy a honda......lol..

something to do with the give and take with the compounds they use to make pads....the harder the compound the worst the stopping the softer the better breaking...but at the cost of squeaking...

If you always drive around with the nannies on you will kill the brakes much faster, especially the rears. Try driving the car yourself more often

I have this issue too, and I find if I drive in reverse it self adjusts the rear brakes so it's not at as bad.
