STREET ENCOUNTER: Me vs. E92 coupe

So its after 12 last night and I went to go get some food. I notice a black E92 coupe on my ass on a 3 lane public road. He eventually get beside me. It turns out its a 328i coupe with terra leather. The car had no tint and had 3 dudes in their early 20's. So were both side by side waiting on the light to turn green. He gave me no indication he wanted to race. 100 feet on the side of the road was a Saturday Night VW meet also. The light turns green and his tires chirp and he takes off maybe to about 60-65 and then shut down. I say what the hell, and I attempt to catch up. He obviously whooped my ass. So to the boat load of onlookers it seemed as if a 3 coupe beat an s2k by like 2.5 car lengths. I wasnt even upset. If I new he wanted to race I would have launched from at least 5500rpms. So the next light ended up being red also and I end up beside them. His friends must've thought he was such hot stuff...

Funny enough I wasnt even upset, maybe because I know I had the faster car and b/c I'll be the one with the real fast Bimmer.

No worries, we shall meet again. It kinda makes me think that 128i is gonna have some serious punch too. That guy had 2 passengers and the 328i still really took off.

Oh it will smoke an s2k. I'm running 5.4 to 60 and 13.9 in the quarter at best. It might not be the fastest buts its soo damn fun getting there.

You launch hard and show him up and you know it'll end bad - pulled over by a cop, or worse, running someone over.

for sure, thats typical over here in SoFla, i just cant wait for the 135 its going to be a beast!!!!!!

Its def. S. Florida. They recently lessened the the penalties for drag racing. Its now no worse than a speeding ticket. I'm not habitual drag racer but thats interesting to know.

Lessened the penalties??? Wow, that's a surprise. Seems kids are killing themselves everyday there you would think they would stiffen the penalties!!

Anyways, I'm surprised you don't get challenges to race on a daily basis with an S2K in So. FL. You'll probably get just as much if not more with the 1er, there seems to be a 'test bmw' movement in So FL. ESPECIALLY from the Mustang owners.

Oh your right. I do get tried all the time. But its fun b/c have the time most people dont even know its a honda. That novelty will never wear off for me.
