Catless DPs - Need rear O2 sensors?
I'm installing VRSF street exhaust and catless DPs. The car apparently had catless DPs on it but cats were later welded in, badly, permanently connecting the downpipes to the catback. To accommodate one of the rear O2 sensors, a bung was welded to the exhaust pipe. When I removed the O2 sensor it came out without threads.
Do the rear O2 sensors need to be installed? Or just connected to the wiring loom and plugs installed? Seems silly to spend $150 for new rear sensors that are (completely?) disabled by MHD. Thx.

Rear o2's do need to be installed. The DME uses logic to calibrate the primary o2 sensors that is not disabled when selecting the catless dp option in MHD. All checking that box does is disables cat error codes.

Exactly, you need them, car uses them regardless of errors.
