I dont know..it sounds like excellent protective quality, but I dont think its anywhere near Zaino for the shine...of course, I find it hard to look at anything after using the "Z"!

Finally, my car is scheduled to have this done when it arrives today or tomorrow. Beyond thinking that it may be useless, do you think it is somehow BAD for the car to have it applied?!

Thanks!

Total BS..Just dont use a clay bar, cause obviously your car wont have so much residue to get off the surface...I Zaino'ed the heck out of my X5 two hours after picking it up off the lot....

Not true, it best to clay bar the car because of rail rust. If your car was on a train it recieved a lot of rust from the train tracks. If you are true puriest, when you are polishing you are removing some of that but not all. Clay bar is safe as long as you do it correctly. DO NOT USE AGRESSIVE ones.

LWL, Also about the waxing the new car, it is safe to wax it also. You are probably getting confused about waxing a newly painted car. Sometimes when you take it to the body shop they didn't finish fully curing it. It depends what the shop did and say. I had the same guy tell me in the past to wait a week and another time you can do it tommorrow.

How do you figure that? I have Zaino on my car and it makes it fine through tough Indiana winters. I do have the luxury of pulling my car in the hangar and washing it whenever, or even just blasting the salt off throughout the winter but water beads up just as it does the day it's applied.

Once I found Zaino I threw all the other stuff I had in the trash. I'll never use anything bu Zaino. I will say though, I use Lexol for the leather, but I use it on my saddles too.

I think for now they do not ship outside of the 47 states. They don't ship to NJ. I think though you can still get it if you find a distributor. They usually roam the forums on different boards. Or you can find a buddy on say e90post to buy if for you and then ship it from there.

I'd rather get the 3M clear bra. Anything you don't see may be non-existence or useless. That's my 0.02 cuz I did one of these polishes before on my S60 T5 and it didn't do much. My car still looked the same, probably slightly more shine but wasn't really apparent (for $100+ it better shine like a crystal! but it didn't). I really want to get the clear bra for my 330i when it arrives.

YES. They are completely interchangeable. Z2, is a little purer, and goes on, and comes off a lot easier...A few more restrictions with Z5. Neither of them are as effective as they can be without Z6!...If you havent bought the Z6. GET SOME..1 ounce per vehicle, and you will see very quickly what I mean....And remember, dont apply OR buff in circles!! STRAIGHT LINES ONLY!!!

Ive heard so many variations of this...I came up with my own conclusion...And that is, no Dawn, and NO CLAY BAR!! And I think this staement about waiting is true, with "regular" waxes...The chemical properties in waxes can deteriorate the clearcoat qualities...NOT ZAINO, because there ARE no chemical properties! ESPECIALLY Z2. So if you have swirl marks, or water spots, youre out of luck for the first few months, cause Zaino wont get them off. I would only use a coat for the first few months, and then the world is your oyster...

Same here on the AW? I had a red 02 Z06 with 10 coats on and it looked great.

Hi All, I have been a Zaino customer for over three years now. My new 3 will be Zainoed! That stuff is amazing, I haven't reapplied any of the polymer for almost 2 years and my car is still shining like new! All I do is use the wash and the detail spray but I have used the clay bar a couple of times as well.

BTW, does anyone know how long the wait(if any) before applying to the new paint? Sorry if this has already been asked in this or other threads. If so, can you point me to it?

TIA,
Danny

Good question..Ive heard 3 months after the car has been painted...I Call me stupid, but I Zainoed my E46 3 hours after it left the lot, and that was right after it was delivered...

The reason I dont think it applies to Zaino is because of the purity of the stuff..Its not your typical chemically enhanced wax...Thats why it doesnt get rid of water spots or swirl marks, but prevents them once applied...I honestly dont think you CAN do any damage with the stuff...I put it on my X5 a couple weeks after it was manufactured, and it still shines like glass...

Thanks Bozo! I will ask my local Zaino rep what he thinks and I will post his response here.
