CCFL halos

I am looking around to buy some CCFL halo projecters. Anyone have some input on what to get? I was looking at these http://www.dashzracing.com/05-09-bmw...8b-y-ccfl.html

Any input would be great.

Thanks,
Kasey

Although it costs a bit more than the headlights you've linked, I'd recommend going with the OEM xenon retrofit. The projectors in those aftermarket headlights are nowhere near as good as the OEM projectors, and output might suffer a bit.

If a projector headlight (or xenon, mostly) isn't TOO important, look into the LCI halogens - they're plug and play and they have angel eyes.

LCI halogens, comes with LUX angel eyes. Look for deals like this one in the classifieds.

Also I think my stock headlights already have xenon headlights. If there was a way I could buy new lenses for my stock headlights I would, and I would just buy some occ halos.

Hmm, i guess pictures would be the simplest way to figure things out.

If your headlights look like this,

you have the oem bi-xenons.

If you have the oem bi-xenons, you can change out the angel eye bulb to an LED replacement that'll give you a whiter light.

If your headlights are currently weathered and fogged up, look into some headlight restoration kits. I can't remember which one I used but i'll let you know when i remember, if you'd like.

if your headlights are weathered and hazy, go get a detailer to fix it. You just need to buff it out. If you don't have projectors, don't get those pieces of crap from that link. Your car will turn cheap as hell. OEM headlights should be your only option. Depo is the next acceptable option in my opinion.

u "think"? how do you (or anyone) not know if they have the xenon headlights as opposed to halogens, on their own car?

I do have xenon headlights. I was looking for CCFL rings cause I don't like the way LEDs look. They aren't as solid like the CCFL.

The quality of most (if not all) aftermarket headlights just aren't as good as the OEM headlights. The projector in those headlights, in comparison to the OEM projectors, have weak output.

Personally, IMO the designs out there for the aftermarket lights just aren't appealing. There's usually too much going on and it doesn't look as good. My two cents.
