As long as your clutch doesn't fry after exceeding the power rating, the 6MT "should" get more power since there's less drivetrain loss. I'm guessing a "stage 1" clutch upgrade will be in order alongside this chip for 6MT owners.

Either way, it's a definite step in the right direction.

Just out of curiosity, why do people buy 325 rather than the 330?
PRICE?
For those that bought the 325 cuz you can't afford the 330,
why are you putting more money into the 325?
By the time you chip it, change the intake, or whatever other mods you can buy to get the HPs closer to the 330... wouldn't you be better off just buying a 330 from the beginning?

How much is labor? Or is it easy stuff to install on your own?

AND I take it the warranty would be voided from the chip and other mods?

Sorry... not trying to step on anyone's toes....

Turbo cars are easy to chip. Just dial up the boost.

i think i am seeing a person who is feeling insecure because he forked out that extra cash for the xtra few ponies and finds out for less than 1K he could have the 330 power for 325 price...haha only kidding

...which begs the question, will a chipped 325i for all intents and purposes be at least the equivalent of, if not an improvement, over the soon to be released 328i sedan?

It also begs the question if there will actually be a hp bump btw the 325 and 328. 15 hp is not much, so I wonder if the two will dyno the same? Me thinks this is just marketing.
