One of the stops tomorrow is at a local hospital with very sick children, and what better way to brighten their holiday than to bring a toy

Just received some last minute tips on the toy drive:

Thank you for your thoughtfulness in considering the children and teenagers at Miami Children's Hospital to receive your toy donation. The information below will help you when making your purchase or planning your toy drive.

TOYS, CHILDREN AND YOU!

Patients at Miami Children's Hospital need toys for play year round. Toys donated by community friends are given to our patients by hospital staff at holiday times, for special celebrations, after a medical procedure, and to help keep playrooms supplied.

Our patients range in ages from newborns to 21 years old.

WE CAN NOT ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING:

1. No used toys. Only NEW toys.

2. No wrapped or tagged toys.

3. No religious oriented toys or items.

4. No Toy guns, war toys, toys that produce sparks or are friction-producing toys.

5. No stuffed animals that are not in their original package and tagged.

6. No toys with numerous small parts.

7. No glass toys or items.

8. No latex balloons.

9. No candy or food.
