Bimmergeeks ProTool, initialize windshield rain sensor?
I'm almost ready to buy ProTool and I'd like to know for sure whether or not it can reinitialize the windshield rain sensor, which since I got the car loves to keep the wipers perfectly still while I can't see because there's rain on the windshield.
I've searched and found someone saying they think it can, and someone saying they can't find the option. Is it there, and if so where? Thanks. |

Any chance the windshield was replaced? It could also be that the people who installed the windshield didn't place the sensor correctly.
Not sure about protool, but you can do this in INPA which isn't too hard to get, free, and easy to use. |

Just had my windshield and rain sensor replaced. Protools was great to scan for codes and fortunately there were no codes stored for the rain sensor (only the condensation sensor A670 code). Unfortunately I couldn't find anywhere to re-initialize the rain sensor. The code was stored under 'Sunroof Module' and initialization options appeared to only be for operating the sunroof. I may drop their support an email to see if they offer this without using INPA.
