In CAS > CIC I ONLY have 3 of the 8 SDARS and do not have:

SDARS
Nicht_AKTIV to change to AKTIV.

So trying to figure out if they are somewhere else, or if I need to manually enter the remaining 5, or if I am flat out doing it wrong.

These are the ones I am looking for and the ones in red I have found:

SDARS
Aktiv
ISPEECH_SDARS
Aktiv
SDARS_PHONE_NUMBER_1
wert_0
RADIO_SDARS
Aktiv
SDARS_IN_EXBOX
Exbox
SDARS_REPLAY_AUTOMATIC
nicht_aktiv

SDARS_INBOX
nicht_aktiv
SDARS_DIAGNOSE
Exbox
You need only VO Code CIC with 655 and Import 6F FSC Code.

Alright thank you. When I did the FA only CAS and FRM showed up. I guess in a different area I can open Add the VO to CIC?

I don't know what you mean. Edit FA, change 693 to 655, Activate modified FA, and VO Code HU_CIC. The entire ECU Tree can be coded, any and all ECU.

Hi,

I've just retrofited LCI trunk led lights to my 2006 E90. Followed this forum's instructions, rewired and all the lights working properly. But blinkers are blinkin too fast, and dash shows an error.

Can I fix it by coding? Or do I need to put some kind of resistor?

Curious that if I put the 4 blinkers all together they blink properly.

I'.ve asked for permission to see the spreadsheet.

Thank you.

Probably need to be coded. I coded mine so the warning light wouldn't come on. My car is a 2008 so different series from 2007+.

Finally done via coding for a 2006 e90! No other procedures needed!

Thank you !

2006 e90 here - passenger seat sensor is defective I believe which results in passenger air bag being inactive. Any fix through coding? Fix would be the air bag always being on regardless of occupant - safety implications are understood.

Airbag Sensor is covered under recall in most of the early models.

This is probably an age old question that’s been asked more times than I most have had got dinners.

I am new to the bmw world and have developed an understanding that to make any retrofits requiring any input from the cars ecus it requires the VO to be changed on the master build list in the car and the respective control modules to be changed accordingly.

I’ve found the VOs for the immediate mods I am making to me new car one being the sunblind. Got it as part of a deal from a car being broken apart. I know I need to tell the cars VO list it now has $415 and then change the climate module and passenger footwell module because the internet told me such…..

The question is, I don’t want to always be dependent on the aid of fellow e9x owners for guidance. So is there a high level guide or can wisdom be shared that allows me to understand how I can tell which ECUs are associated to a modification?

I can hopefully use that and the basics of ExpertCoding in NCS/similar to achieve what I want.
