My new Cayman

Hi all,

Well it's been a fun week this week as we took delivery of the BMW and my new Cayman.

I know it's not a BMW but I thought as all you guys and girls like cars as much as I do I thought you wouldnt mind.

Still need to get some photos of the BMW yet will do that ASAP.

Hope you like it

Very nice - any pics of the rear seats - would you get kids in them in boosters?

Totally biased but it's beautiful Scott!

The new PCM is much improved over the old system from what I've heard?

Have you various new 'loves' in your life reading between the lines - sorry, just being nosey.

Paul the Cayman doesn't have rear seats... only the 911 (or I guess now the Panamera too)

You are not the first to say that but it was the lights in the dealership, in the flesh is very white :-)

I love BMW's and always will but as driving goes this does take some beating, it goes round corners like nothing I have been in yet the ride is great even with 19" and no PASM. It's got 265hp but it only weighs 1300 odd KG's so it's not exactly slow but I cant try that as I am running it in for 500 miles.

I'd trade any BMW in for a Porsche, any day of the week. I love BMW's too but damn I've wanted a Porsche since I was 2 yrs old (dad had one in the early 80's).

I'm sure its a beast of its own.

even though its not a Cayman S, I'm sure it still hauls ass... the 330i was about the same in power and was a quick car, and yet it weighed at least 600-700lbs more than the Cayman.

Anyway... enjoy the new ride, I'm VERY jealous.

Scott, that is absolutely stunning mate, love it. White really suits the Cayman. Saw one the other day near my work and they look awesome in the flesh.

Can't remember ever seeing a 'debadged' Cayman before.

As Dave says, seems a lot of people getting new cars (two in Scott's case!!!), I'm getting very jealous and I've only had mine 4 months.

What is it about a Porsche showroom, all the cars seem to be looking at you with their big puppy-dog eyes, saying 'buy me, buy me'.
