Magazine

Isn't there a quarterly magazine that BMW owner's receive for free? Being a new, first time owner I'm just wondering about this.

Yes. BMW Magazine. Heavy dose of marketing, but some interesting articles never-the-less.

How long does it take to begin receiving it? I suppose if I got my car in September, I'll probably get my first issue in the first quarter of 2006?

Don't lose sleep over not getting it. Although it makes an interesting coffee table book with its glossy pictures, it's geared more to selling Bimmers and accessories and, as such is very light on technical detail and reviews.

yes,
just received the latest last week, which features the 5 series diesel in the cover. otherwise save for a few interesting tidbits and the ubiquitous technical article, it's exactly what the others have posted. nevertheless i enjoy my bedtime reading of it.

check with your dealer.

You should get the next quarterly. It's true what others have said, but it is FREE. I have actually enjoyed some of the articles - even though they are written by the marketing department. Next issue, we should get two - one for me and one for my wife.

If you want a good magazine about BMWs, spend a few bucks and join BMWCCA (forgot to notice if you're in the US). Their magazine is very good to read!

I second the comment about joining the BMW CCA. The magazine "The Roundel" is well worth the annual membership fee and that's just the beginning. Visit the BMW CCA web site to find out more. If you aren't in the U S, there are BMW car clubs in many, many other countries offering similar reasons for joining and participating. Welcome!
