Battery Safe Terminal - Popped out but now what?
Had a terrible couple of weeks with the car...
Just replaced the starter motor and on first drive today heard a pop in the back causing a host of warning lights and eventual engine cut out. Looking in the boot I could see that the positive had been disconnected... After research it looks like its the BST which has popped itself off for some unknown reason. I have an MOT today but the restraint system warning is now on. What can I do? Some people say it needs replacing? But looking at the part its just a cable? Or will a code clear sort everything if I ask them to do it on the MOT? Thanks. EDIT: Just been outside and tested, the car starts fine but the airbag warning lights are still on. Im guessing I'll need to replace this lead which is costly... considering I wasn't even in a crash? 2005 320D se e90 Last edited by soton; 03-16-2015 at 07:08 AM.. |

You'll defintely need to change it out. It won't clear until you do. I'm surprised the car is running due to the design of it and not allowing a restart after the charge explodes.
