Question 2007 e90 335i engine tick noise

Is this wastegate rattle or something else?
(The continuous high pitch swishing noise)

I say normal the n54 makes all sorts of fun noises . I wouldn,t worry unless you get misfires that cant be fixed w injectors ,coils or plugs. There is always compression check or leakdown test to be certain.

Hmmm. Seems new though.
Ever since I got the car back from mechanic with new power steering pump a week ago.

It's quite loud as well you can hear it from 15-20 feet away
