can i put regular tires on my stock runflat wheels? did know if they are special for runflats or have special sensors. i know i wouldnt have a spare tire.

Yes, conventional tires will fit your stock rims just fine. Try searching this forum for many threads on the pros and cons (mostly pros!) of doing this. You might want to reconsider the "no spare" decision.

The dealer told me the sensor light would always be on, but a manager of the Merchant Tire shop said no problem, and I have a friend with a 5 series that ditched the run flats with no sensor light issue.

The dealer guy is an idiot. The sensor can't tell what kind of tires you have! The TPMS system works fine with conventional tires on my 335i. The older style, rotational sensors work as well.

Many people think so. Like I suggested, do a search on this forum and see what people have done with tires and spares. There are several sources for a compact spare that fits the car and doesn't take up too much room in the trunk. Jack and tools go underneath the trunk floor in wells designed for them, but thoughtfully left empty by BMW...
