2008 BMW 335i  [9.50]
sunroof/moonroof won't close all the way

So when i close my sunroof there is an opening about a few mm.. how do i fix this? there should be some manual reset for this right?

You can try doing a reset on the sunroof: Press the 'tilt up' button, wait for sunroof to rise, continue to hold it, the sunroof will rise another 1/2", continue to hold the button, sunroof will go through the entire open and close sequence.

If that doesn't fix it, you'll probably have to go to the dealer.

Engine not running but on, ie put the FOB in and press the start button without your foot on the brake. THEN press and hold the tilt button while it goes through a complete run on the track.

I have an E92 and I just came across this thread. Completely fixed my sunroof problem. Big, big thanks.

Helped me too - so f****** nice


I spoke with 2 BMW dealers and they both told me that the sun roof is cheap crap and it has to be replaced.
