10 months on and the fiberglass studie rep doesn't look so hot - every stone chips off the paint. No fear - the OEM PVC version goes on this week.

This Montego thread helped convince me to take a chance on a bright color after have a string of silver or black cars... so I thought I'd add to it with more LCI pics. The salesman admitted that he wanted to talk me out of ordering Montego w/ black, but all the guys liked it after seeing it. I have no regrets.
I finally waxed it after the winter, so I took a few quick pics.

Hi Everyone,
I'm a fairly new member who just picked up an e90 335 in Montego Blue. Here is a link to some pictures I posted up yesterday! http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=323191

Is that the OEM M-Aero (or BMW Performance or M technic) front and rear bumpers? I thought the rear diffuser looked a bit different, with more holes. Am I confusing the official M version or some aftermarket variant? But NOT the side skirts?

After 8 weeks of wait she's finally here!
She's a 2011 328xi in Montego Blue with Oyster/Black on Alu trim. There just aren't a whole lot of Montego/Oyster LCIs around. - Premium - Convenience - Sport - Heated steering wheel - Folding rear seats - Harman/Kardon |

Update to my original ride
The small project started out as an insurance repair project after my wife gently sideswiped a minivan with the BMW 335i, causing damage to the rear passenger door, rear quarterpanel, bumper, and passenger sideskirt. This allowed me to upgrade the sideskirts to BMW Performance and the bumper to an MTech bumper.
After this, I added a Duke Dynmaics CF diffuser to fit the Autobahn Exotics quad exhaust, and a roof spoiler. It took Anthony, one of his mechanics, and myself the better part of a day to figure out the alignment of the diffuser and exhaust (things did not line up quite right). The black lower bars and black grille were done at home. The pics are 3 days later, after driving to New Jersey to visit in-laws and detailing the outside. The front is a little dull after waxing due to old 3M Clear Bra (needs update). |

Great thread. It's made me realise I've been looking at the wrong blue for my E91. I had a BMW blue in my mind and using the car configurator I thought it was Deep Sea Blue. It's not, it's Montego Blue

hey all, got a problem. special ordered 328i with crimson red but really cant decide the red or montego blue. i really like them both in different ways.
since this is the blue forum tell why the montego is better. whats is like when it is dirty? still look good? anybody have the blue or the red and wished for the other? i will keep the car for 10 years, so do you think that it will be still a cool color then, or will it be like the greens were. my last 2 cars have been red. 87 4runner and 99tl. |
