bmw e92 auto adjust headlights

hi , new to the forum , i have a e92 320 d , today my headlights are both pointing towards the floor , lighting up approx 15 ft in front , they use to when turn the lights on adjust up then down , then level out , this dosent happen now , turn the lights on just fixed looking down .

i have read about the level sensors on suspension arms , i had a look under the car , reaching to give a wiggle , and both front and back are still in tact , attached .

i have seen the manual adjust on headlight top , i turned these about 5 turns on each , i the lights did move up slightly , so i take it the plastic spindles going in to motors will be ok

where do i look now ????

Are your lights adaptive headlights or standard headlights?

I have two ride heigh sensors, one on the front and one on the rear. You can use ISTA+ to show readings of both sensors and you may find one of them reads nothing, if you've had any suspension work done it may be worth looking at the ride height sensors as there's a 90 degree bend and it can be re-installed the opposite way.

Are you turning them on by rotating the knob clockwise (manual mode) or anti-clockwise (automatic mode)?
