I too have one and am in the process of trying to work everything out as the set up for antennas and other stuff is unique to the E91 from any other model.
Without wanting to derail this thread, so far I have found this and am trying to research further.
I might start a separate thread for E91 research

You will have to change NSR rear glass which had antenna lines for DAB and TV module.
Then you add mini diversity module to connect that.

I had tv module sitting at my place for months but due to glass change etc etc, I sold it on fleabay.

For you, best bet is Kufatec kit and install one aerial at the front and one at the rear.
Not ideal but works brilliantly.

Jammy you sure that you have f series tv tuner?
As F series coding is on enet and if you try to fit it on e series, you cannot code it.

The module Makkan is talking about is ebay item: 231416728634

Not having the the antenna lines already in the rear glass makes the oem route not viable. I wonder why E90 / E92 have it & E91 don't?

Modification of the bracket.... took a while:

I've had to remove this screw:

Cut a bit out as it hits the connectors:

I also needed to increase the size of one hole.

Finished job.... Oem style:

If you buy the TV module that is for the E9x you won't have this issue but those modules are older, bigger & noisier!

I can't finish the job today as I a couple of c nuts to fix the bracket to the car!

Another thing to take note if going down the oem route.... if you don't have a cd changer, you will need different boot trim (left side).

I need a new tray as my current one is too deep & takes the place where the TV module sits:

Did you code the TV module or tried to read it?
As if it is from F-series it gives error. Talking form the experience.
However if you have not coded and you do not need to code it, most of the functions work.

No need to code or read the TV module. Just coded the CIC & works perfectly after I scanned for the channels!

Just need to code it for tv in motion. I think the picture will be fine whilst driving as I really got loss of signal during testing (had sound but the safety screen)! This is where the oem antenna is going to beat the aftermarket ones!

When I had TV in my RS4 it was all Alpine kit and worked very well in general but if the road went though thick high trees or into a deep cutting like on motorways it broke up at times.
It will be interesting to see how the OEM one gets on.
The other thing is on long journeys you sometimes have to rescan due to regional channels using different frequencies

pinouts for the f type tv module

for the TV 12 pin plug (x14454)

1: power
12: gnd

2: video +
7: shield
8: video -

All pins are 100% confirmed

cic end

multi plug

2: video +
11: shield
12: video -

cic single plug

18: video +
27: shield
28: video -

Again All pins are 100% confirmed

I've plugged them in and I get the TV option on screen (cic coded for tv) and have set the region to UK and tried to do a channel search, but the status bar does not move, so not fully working.

I've bought one of the older e series tv modules and will try that.

Pins for the older e series tv should be

1: gnd
11: power

4: video +
6: shield
13: video -

11 : +12v

4.: Video +
12: Shield
13: Video -

The F-type one did not work on mine, but the e-type one should, post 37 is all you need.

Update.

I tried again with the newer type TV module.

It was the RSE unit, TV module for BMW X5 E70 X6 E71 6550 9224300

I chose the RSE because it has the 3rd antennas, this (pink) is used for continual scanning of channels, both green and brown will scan periodically (and when you manually search), but the pink one does it as a matter of course, because this tv module is normally used in rear seat entertainment options. Plus it was really really cheap.

I suspect that most new type tv modules will work, as the MOST interface is the one that carries all the control/interface signals, the main plug just has power and video out, so i **think** that any RSE, dvt, dvt-t, dvt-t2 will work fine (but thsts just a guess), the china/japan/korea ones wont.

Pinouts are

For the TV 12 pin plug (x14454)

1: power
12: gnd

2: video +
7: shield
8: video -

cic single plug

18: video +
27: shield
28: video -

Coding: code tv option to car and then make sure you edit the cic confit so that the TV option is :-

TVM_VARIANTEN
tvm_dvb_t_rse = activ

for older type

TVM_VARIANTEN
vm_l4_most_fkat = activ

Also check option

TV
is wert = 21 this selects the correct input pins for the tv video input. (18,27,28)

RVC
if you also have the backup camera then make sure this is set to wert 23 = camera video input. (21,23,24)

There is a different bracket that sits next to the combox/tcu/mulf

I got over 65 channels and over 40 dab radio stations and the scan bar in the settings menu actually works correctly (not so with the older tv modules).

Correct e9x bracket
newer style tv module is 9176373,
older style tv module 6945074

Since i had the tv already, this was a cheap upgrade, i now get more channels and dab radio channels too and i get full widescreen and the epg is much better.

2nd Update.

I tried a newer G series TV module, thankfully it has the same plug and pinouts of the f series TV, it als fits the same tv frame.

Tried it and while it found channels, it woul not display them (screen said no signal).

I then flashed the tv to the latest version using e-sys and bingo. it all started working correctly.

I now have HD channels too.

Trying to do this retrofit as well, but encoutered a problem, that after preliminary testing and coding (added $601 to cas and frm and default coded cic) I can not get channel search to work.
Tv module is from F01 9222844 p/n.

Is there anything else I am missing?

make sure that the MOST in in the correct way round.

Also check that the TV module selected in the cic config is the correct one.

TVM_VARIANTEN
tvm_dvb_t_rse = activ

or
TVM_VARIANTEN
tvm_dvb_t = activ

And NOT vm_l4_most_fkat = activ

My car has Logic7, so I immediately get no sound if MOST is disrupted, which is my case is working fine.

As for these CIC options, they are correct after default coding CIC module.
