calling all E90 wheel experts
I know this topic has been beat to death and I have done tons and tons of research but I have ask a few questions. My car is 06 330i E90 with sport package. I would say about 7 yrs ago I changed the 18 inch type 162's to my first 19 inch wheel; that being M6 reps. After cracking about 2 of them I switched to Avant Garde M359 reps. I have since cracked 3 of them and bent another 2. No I am not hitting huge pot holes and living in Pennsylvania sometimes when the road straight across has small ones I have no choice but to go through them. Honestly I have cracked most of them not even knowing it just going down a road that was not even that bad. After trying a few brands some low casted and some flow formed I have come to the point I had enough lol. Being forged wheels are so so expensive. I have tried having a very very notable wheel collision shop weld n fix them but they do not hold up. I also like the gloss powder coat look so every time I order a new wheel I have to have it refinished. I have reached the point where even though I LOVE the look of the 19's I may go back to 18's even though I would only go up to a 40 profile front and 35 rear; I am sure it will help some. The question I would like to ask is if I could go up a profile size and keep the 19's. I currently run 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear. I do know this is the ideal tires to keep the speedo the same but would it be at all possible to go to 235/40/19 and 265/35/19? I an pretty sure it will not work but I had to ask? Open to any suggestions you guys or gals have. Thanks!

Is it the reps that are the problem - ie. would some OEM 19s be stronger / less prone to cracking?
If there are rough roads around your area, personally I'd just go to 18s, but then I'm bias I guess as I just have factory 18 inch 313s on my car and like them just fine: |

Yes I am pretty sure the issue is the reps. Normally when you hot a pot hole that makes a CD skip you know it and are like ughhhhhh. I am cracking wheels from just normal driving on rough spots of roads where you cannot avoid anything. Yes pot holes but nothing that you would think would bend or crack a wheel. I really don't know if its the 35 and 30 profile on the 19's or it is just because the wheels are cast. I even cracked a flow formed wheel. I hate mentioning brands because I do not wanna offend anyone. Has anyone tried to go to say a 40 series profile front and a 35 on the rear with 19's and had success? I searched n searched on the forum and could not find anyone that has had success with that.
