xHP Flash
Considering this for my 6AT, seems pretty legit from what i have already read. Just wanted everyones opinions/experience with it. Looking at going stage 2.

There's quite a few threads on xhp. I'm running the stage 3 and it is the best mod I've done to my car yet

Reading through quite a few of these threads, seems that Stage 3 is the consensus over Stage 1/2.

Just updated my stage 3 tune and noticed they now have a stage 4 for strictly track use. Doesn't look much different than stage 3

I did xHP stage 2 to my otherwise unmodified 335i 6 spd auto.
Bit underwhelming. It's difficult to say whether the changes have become quicker (or in fact slower I think sometimes) compared to stock. I used to think it was better than stock in M/S mode, but recently I'm not so sure. When I get enough time I might uninstall it and see. It definitely doesn't drop down gears quickly enough (say from 6th to 4th) for overtaking. Nothing to do with not having a modified engine. The gear change indicator in all modes is nice.

I got stage 2 because I don't really crank on it.
I still know it's a big difference from stock. I entertained the thought of upping to stage 3 but nah. Maybe if I feel like ditching $100 for the experiment. XHP and MHD is a great combo. Honestly you should just do 3 and be done with it, believe the hype. |

I successfully installed the backup file and the flash module, but upon trying to flash a OTS map I get the error: TCU not connected.....
Not sure what to make of this as the two prior installations went smoothly, am I missing something here?

I’m seriously considering doing the XHP flash. My performance shop mentioned it the other day after getting my AA re-tune after header install.
I would prob do the Stage3, but there is a stage4 now? I’m guesding that’s for track use. My car is not a DD so stage 3 would prob suffice. What’s some of your impressions when this is combined with other increased HP mods? Thanks |

read the description of stage 4 - it's not what you want. it's specifically not recommended for road use. |

Clemens from RBT-Tuning told me the following....
