Appreciate the love

We have many great fitments for the E9X chassis. For a 335is, we recommend going with the following:

18" Staggered:
F: 18x9" ET30 - 235/40-18 or 255/35-18
R: 18x9.5" ET35 - 265/35-18 or 275/35-18 (fender roll may be needed with 275's)

18" Square:
F/R: 18x9" ET30 - 255/35-18

If you have any questions more questions regarding fitment, feel free to PM us directly. We are more than happy to assist

-Matt

The wheels now have cracks and I need to replace them (along with tires which are worn out anyway). I would like to move to 18" wheels, since I know I will hit some potholes eventually and I do not want to end up with cracked 19" wheels again. Is it possible to move from 19" to 18" on a 335is, without issues like touching brakes, touching the extra water cooler in the wheel well?

I am considering the Beyern 18" wheels (Antler, Gerade or Spartan). The sizes I am considering are:
Front - 18"x8.5" with 30mm or 40mm offset
Rear - 18"x9.5 with 35mm offset

I would have liked the 35mm offset for the Front, but the wheels do not come with that option.

Stock offset for 19" 313 wheels is:
Front 19"x8" with 37mm offset
Rear 19"x9" with 39mm offset

On the Rear wheel, this will mean 2mm less clearance on the strut side and 10mm extension on the outside.
On the Front wheel, with the 30mm offset option, this will mean 1mm more clearance on the strut side and 13mm extension on the outside.
On the Front wheel, with the 40mm offset option, this will mean 9mm less clearance on the strut side and 3mm extension on the outside.

For the front wheel, the 40mm offset option may not work due to the extra water cooler the 335is has in the wheel well, so leaning towards the 30mm option.

Would the rear wheel extending out 10mm and front wheel extending out 13mm work well, without any touching / rubbing?

I am leaning towards going with Non-Flats with Michelin Pilot Super Sport (PSS) and adding a spare. Should I stick with 225/255 for Front and Rear or can I even consider the 235/265 options with the above wheels, offsets and PSS on a 335is, without any rubbing? I read on the forum that PSS are more prone to rubbing, due to the squarish profile.

TIA and sorry for the long post.
18"s with offsets 30-45ish are generally alright on an otherwise stock 335... aftermarket suspension and brake parts? Usually still ok, but really anybody's guess

Do note that only means SOME tire sizes on those wheels will work.... not all.

I run 650i type 328's (no special reason, needed wheels got good deal)
with 235/40 FR , 245/45 RR.... wanted 245/45 square, but fronts wouldnt fit

I am now facing this same conundrum. I have a 2011 335is that needs two rear wheels, and I'd like to go 18" as well.

My local dealer quoted me $580 per wheel for new 18" OEM wheels (that were originally meant for a 2014 M4, I think.) From what the dealer tells me, there was no 18" wheel option for the 335is, and the ones off a 335i won't fit because of the larger brake assemblies.

I find that price a little steep, but I've yet to find a compelling aftermarket wheel. I'll be checking out Apex and ECS Tuning in accordance with the advice above, but would appreciate a bit more input on what to look at and what to avoid in the aftermarket space.

(Also concerned that there really does seem to be millimeter clearances involved with some of the options. The math may work out, but it sounds like awfully little clearance.)

txviking,

We have many great 18" solutions for your 335is with more than enough room to clear your stock brakes. Even our 17" wheels will clear without issue. You can see our recommended fitments above, but if you would like to review all fitment options available for your car, check out our fitment guide here.

We do have a couple Group Buys running at this time if you are interested in a set. Feel free to send us a PM or give us a call if you would like to dive deeper into what fitment works best for you

There were 2 versions of the 18" 313 with the offsets and widths being different. One was made for 1 series and the other for 3 series. Here is the 3 series variant though you may be able to find cheaper from other sites or dealers even than ECS

Pretty sure the 225m was the 18" option for the iS

18” 313 were standard and 19” 313 were a $1000 option on the is.

Oh right.. had the 313's 18" too. Weak ass offset I thought though in comparison

225m was still an option I believe, for earlier years or w/e. Actually the first iS I looked at had them but the kid painted the calipers lime green.
