Aluminium dash trim color change?
I spoke to BMW today to change over the dash, centre console, and door trims from aluminium to a wood color and they wanted close to £1000 for it all!
Any ideas where I can find these parts and not get ripped off? |

You may wanna try and do a trade with someone. Here in the states the aluminum trim is more sought after than wood. I bet if you post in the sale or trade section you would get a lot of interest and would just have to pay for shopping.

but the doors and side panels would be fine. your best bet is to post on the regional forums for a good trade. I wouldn't be surprised if the E93 and the E92 trims are not interchangeable??

LH to RH trim
I don't want to sound like an expert but think the only trim that would be switch-able between RH and LH drive would be trim behind the front seats...
front pieces will be mirror imaged for every piece in front including the center console, I think.... but I have been proven wrong before. |

The parts still stay the same everywhere else regardless of left or right hd I would have presumed? However I will wait for someone to chime in |

I have the wood trim in mine and I'm about to wrap it because I don't like it o.o If our cars were interchangeable, I would do the swap for sure.

Ended up paying $800 or so for new silver trim, and sold the old wood on eBay for $400. After you sell your own trim, the cost difference isn't so bad. That's if you cannot find a trade partner, or want new trim.

The different pieces would be the wood strips across the dash (short piece on the left in the US/LHD compared to it being on the right in a UK/RHD car) and the center console is different too. In the LHD cars the e-brake is on the left side of the console compared to being on the right for RHD cars.
