Question Same OLD routine!!

Is there a way to automatically jump to "Map - Direction of Travel" when you start the car?!? I hate having to hit right...down 4 times...and turn the knob a notch to the right...every single time!

Not quite, but after starting you only have to push the i-drive controller 2-3 seconds in the navigation direction (right on our e60).

You will get to the last used page/view.

A shortcut, to avoid the annoying run through the menu.

It was discussed in several threads before.

I found the easiest way is to use the voice command. Just say "Map - Direction of Travel" and it will go there.
