E92 335i tune only vs. E46 M3 tune/headers full exhaust
Thoughts? Friend just sent me this:
MHD off the shelf (or tablet in this case) tune ONLY vs. E46 M3 with tune, headers, full exhaust.... My opinion.... Pretty impressive tune only vs. a tuned lighter m3 Last edited by M5Rlz; 03-21-2018 at 05:23 PM.. |

Gearing and the fact that the M3 has about 350hp. Im not too surprised at all. A 6 second race doesnt tell much either though. E46 M3s are still a great car even today.

l think it was really a 3 second race..most of the vid was them lining up.
not really sure how you can evaluate both cars after seeing them race for 3 seconds. i guess A for effort

If I'd gotten more I woulda love to see it. I was present for the 100% stock with passenger run and that was about 3-4 cars in the M3s favor. Owner of the 335i will be adding VSFR downpipes, intake and more aggressive OTS map, so I don't think it'll be a race after that. Pretty amazing in my OP from my time with the 335i to see their flagship 3 model from 2002-2006 (with mods) be a tune away from beaten by one of their introductory 3 series models (updated for feuer) Last edited by M5Rlz; 03-24-2018 at 12:49 PM.. |

135i/335i aren't base models lol and e46 m3 is good match for unmoddified version. Once you add tune and exhaust (like this m3 has) is game over. I have put bus lengths on many m3....

uh yeah the 1 and 3 were at the time the two cheapest introductions to getting a 4 door BMW and 2 door coupe. Not sure why that upset you
Exactly what I told him and each successive mod/stage would be a further beating. |

I'm aware of that. I've had many M's . And that up until the m2, the m3 was the base model for the M's not sure why this is triggering lol
Again if you wanted the cheapest BMW in 2007 when the 335i came out you either bought a 1 series for a coupe or a 3 series lol... You didn't buy a 5, or 6. You bought 1 and 3 not sure why thats up for debate lol |
