They actually changed the age to 21 and over (I'm 24). I'm not sure how they pulled that one off because almost every insurance agency requires you to be 25 and over to rent a car.

The company is called Supercar Sensation and they are located in Charlotte, NC. Their website is supercarsensation.com, and you can give Kira or David a call to see what kind of tours/pricing they have coming up. They are very cool people so I don't hesitate to recommend them.

lol... "a great experience if your life is very boring!" I thought it was great as long as you love cars and to drive, but I guess its that much better if your life blows.

Sounds AWESOME... I want to do something similar I read about... Road & Track Live. I'm pretty sure they have stuff set up in most major cities across the country.

and sorry to hear about the 997 turbo being a tip... that would have ruined my day too cuz thats probably the car I would want to drive the most... maybe the F430 too.

nice write up.

Sounds like you enjoyed it!! I got to do something similar last month with World Class Driving, but it was 5 cars we drove and 8 drivers, and cost a lot more than this They did have the Gallargo Superleggera and Ferrari Scuderia but still. For $400, I'm tempted to fly out there with my g/f and do it again.

I just feel bad for the owner who just bought the 997 in a tiptronic with the new PDK transmission coming out. That was antoher thing... with the exception of the lambo and ferrari all of the cars were pretty much brand new with around 1,000 miles on the clock.

I always see their ads in car magazines for world class driving, but I thought that was around $1500, right? For the price I couldn't have asked for a better driving experience. I know that I got a discounted rate, but I think their regular price is going to be set at $500 for the tour that I did so its still pretty reasonable.

BTW, I wonder how different the Scuderia and the Superleggera feel compared to their counterparts that I drove. Honestly though, the one car that I REALLY wanted to drive was the 997 GT3, even more so than the 997 turbo. I wish I knew someone who had one.

It only took a year, but I added a few videos to the bottom of the first post. It kind of looks like we were moving in slow motion, but I found it entertaining.

Im just curious.
Given the amount of damage the drivers undoubtedly do to the cars which must inevitably be repaired...
How does this event generate revenue?

I mean even if they're hoping the cars get crashed & an insurance sum paid out. To what benefit? They get the same car back. So the question remains.

How is this profitable?

It was said in jest... we were quoting Days Of Thunder earlier for christ's sake. If you didn't know him I can see where you are coming from though.

I believe they usually charge much more than what we had paid at the time. From what we paid, I don't even know how they could cover the gas and insurance on the cars, let alone the wear and tear.

sheeet yeah i forgot about petrol.. Dude they were obviously running at a loss.

But the thing is I checked the supercar sensation website and it says like 1 Hour tour $199 so again the question stands how are they making money at that price and if not, why still charging that rate lol

that is just awesome. i think i have to do this with my wife on our anniversary so she have a taste of these cars, lol.

the 4 hours package for 550 bucks sounds like a good deal.

anyone know of another company that offer similar service and locate closer to toronto, canada? 12 hours drive to charlotte/NC is kinda painful though, hehe
