Okay, here we go again
Car: E91 330D MY2006 with Pre-LCI AHL Lights Facelifted to LCI Bi-Xenonlights Without AHL-function. Even after removing the AHL-function from my VO and re-coded my FRM1 i could not get the auto leveling feature to work. They are totally dead. After some re-search i found out (someone on ********* forum told me ) that the FRM1 AHL module is not compartible with regular Bi-Xenon, therefore i bought a FRM3R PLII XE LED instead. Yeah.. but.. no.. luck.. , Used WinKFP and re-flashed it with my VIN, changed the builddate to 2008/09 (LCI) and used expertmode in NCS to code it. 1. Problem with autolevel is the same. Totally dead. 2.New Problem with no AE:s as DRL (the rest of the DRL-lightning works as it shoud, taillights etc) 3.New Problem with side/fender repeaters not flashing. So, my guess is that something with the pin-outs must have changed in FRM3 vs FRM1 or my FRM3 module is faulty. |

Ok.
Found the fault with the leveleing. Totaly different pins on a bi-xenon vs. ahl in the harness (also need to add 2 cables) Got an idea with the AE as DRL not working. I am missing pin 7 (3 little leds) in my harness since it not an LCI car so i hard wired it to the AE. This throws an error code on side marker light since nothing is connected to that pin in the FRM. Maybe the FRM turns of the AEs as DRL if it sets fault code on the side marker light? Its a long shot but im getting empty on ideas now. |
