3 Series X-drive on a style 172 wheels

Hey guys!
There's a seller on kijiji who is selling his bmw style 172 Front: 19x8.5" ET18 245/35/19 and Rear: 19x9.5" ET32 275/30/19. Im not familirize with the wheels and tires diameter stuff. I drive 330XI
The seller told me it won't fit my car. I want the rolling diameter to be the same so i don't mess with the x-drive system. I would like to confirm this with you guys.

Those sizes are 1.004% different in diameter.
X-Drive starts to freak out at 1% so I think you're pushing it on that fact alone.

I can't comment on whether et-18 on the front and 275 on the rear will fit although 275 is the maximum width for a 9.5" rim, so I suspect they will look a little mushroom-pudgy depending on the brand, unless you've already seen them in person and are satisfied with the way they look.

Under 1% i should be fine?

That's the general rule of thumb, but I would look at the revolutions per mile and be within 3 front to back. No reason to push it and have the system working overtime.

3-4 rev/mile seem to be about the same as 1% diameter but whichever measurement you use, when we say "working overtime" we mean "clunking, straining, banging" as it thinks you are slipping when you aren't and is constantly trying to correct the perceived "skid". Most users have reported problems in the neighbourhood of 1%, which seems to have become the accepted baseline.

Go to a site like this one:
http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

Type in your front and back wheel specs and it will compare them for you, including revs/mile.
