I see a lot of strut bars listed on the forum and available for sale, but rarely do I see mentions of use with an XI. Are strut bars not recommended or less effective on an XI? Are different strut bar models required for the XI or is it the same part number as rwd?

I have a 335 xi with the Eibach Pro Kit and am looking for some cost effective handling mods. Wondering if strut bar is a good next step.

Or do I have this all screwed up and mixing up strut bar with sway bar??

Strut braces are in the same category as Intakes: both pretty worthless and essentially eye candy.

Unless you're tracking the car ALL THE TIME, you'll never get anything out of a brace.

While the front end of an xDrive car is stronger due to a different support bracket, the strut towers are identical between xDrive and RWD, so anything should work.

A thicker rear sway bar might well be worthwhile in reducing understeer.

It's a little hard to categorize a sway bar as "eye candy", as they're usually only 1mm-2mm thicker and not really noticeable.

RWD and AWD models have different front sway bars due to front differential setup.

Rear sway bars are the same on all E9x regardless of drive train configuration. In fact, the entire rear end is the same for non-M.
