Sorry for Another Jb4 Question..Dangerous?

Hi all! I'm about to do my first mod being the jb4 stage 2. Im pretty excited at the modest 30-45hp im expecting to gain. I recently read under option s480a "high speed synchronization" that the car (2011 335i AT M-sport) SHOULD indeed come with an upgraded(or included?) oil cooler. Wanting to run map 2 with VRSF downpipes how much more horsies can I expect. If i do pull the trigger on the DP is it dangerous to drive 10-15 min daily in florida with spirited driving? Will a charge pipe be necessary too? Im trying to conserve money. Perhaps my best option is the tune, and a kit i found with charge pipe + FMIC for 500$? That way i can be safe but wont be able to do DP till later. How much HP could i expect from this? I never track the car and if temp went above 260 id completely let off. Thanks for any help

You can see if your car has an oil cooler by either looking through the vent in the passenger side wheel well, or popping the hood and looking for lines running out of the oil filter housing towards the wheel well. I consider a charge pipe a must for any tune, its only a matter of time before the stock one will pop off, and you don't want it happening randomly and then have your car parked up until a new one arrives. The downpipe will definitely open up some power, but I would prioritize the the charge pipe for reliability/durability sake. Personally I did my downpipe after my tune/cp/fmic.

Thanks! Does http://www.vr-speed.com/vrsf-7-front...2-e90-e92.html seem like a good idea to add as my second mod? Does this include a CP? Says for 30$+ upgraded lower charge pipe

That is a good mod, but the upraded lower charge pipe is not the same as the standard charge pipe (this lower chargepipe connects the intercooler to the main chargepipe...I know, it sounds confusing!). You're definitely going to want to get a charge pipe as well. VRSF and BMS make good ones.

Correct, the "upgraded lower charge pipe" is what connects your intercooler to "the charge pipe". The charge pipe mod everyone refers to is in the links above. I personally went with an ER (evolution racewerks) with a meth bung, which is something to consider when buying one, even if meth is in the distant future.

+1 on the ER and +1 on getting one with a meth bung. The bungs come capped so if you never use it, its like its not there but if you ever decide to get meth or when you go to sell it the bung will be important.

I'd also agree do the charge pipe before hand so you don't have to worry about it.
I picked up mine from Mike @n54tuning it' been great!
Don't get one without the meth as it's a cheap extra option to add but not getting it will cost you a lot more in the future if you wish to use meth!

If you get a JB4, definitely get a metal charge pipe to replace the plastic factory POS. My factory CP cracked around 6 months/5k miles after installing the JB4. A CP is a must have if you get a JB4. If you can afford the bundle then by all means also get an FMIC. The smaller (5") VRSF FMIC is cheap and should be sufficient for your needs.

If you are adding a JB4 and DP, the charge pipe is a must. VRSF and Evolution Racewerks make pretty solid charge pipes.
It is very safe to use all these mods. JB4 will keep an eye on how the car is handling the extra power, if there is any problem it will cut the extra boost.

Catless + stock muffler is what I'm running as well. You won't be disappointed! My favorite sounding setup next to catless with PE.
