Oil leak at crankshaft/ flywheel? Help diagnosing
So I had a slow oil leak but couldn't pinpoint it. Cleaned the engine area and underneath the car and finally found it. But I'm not sure what exactly it's called and it seems that it's a bad gasket that's causing the leak. The bottom of the picture is towards the front of the car. The leak is pointed to with the screw driver. I believe this is where the transmission meets the engine and this is crankshaft that's leaking? Please help

What picture?
Cant see a picture. Common leak areas are: OFH Oil Pan Gasket Rear Main seal Valve cover Gasket, but this one, you may never see get to the bottom of the car.....if it did, you have to get this replaced ASAP. |

I had an oil pan gasket leak that I could have sworn was the rear main seal. After careful cleaning and removing my oil pan I discovered that it was in fact only the oil pan gasket. You can peak up in the bell housing through the little port / opening, but I'm not sure how well you can see a rms leak from there.
I too cannot see the pic, but it might help people diagnose this more accurately. |

See if you can get a view of the engine block behind and above the cat. Your picture just chops that area off but i see darker stains up there
