I can code, I just redid my own car with all the latest software and data. My cable is compatible with most 2008+ cars.

Hey guys,

I just got this car so not the hail damaged one I had before... thinking about ditching it. Anyone interested in a '08 e92 m3 with almost 39k miles?

If not I may just sell it to carmax or bmw.

I feel like 42k would be proper. It has everything except the sunroof.

that's both my old car and old wheels. i'm curious how the other side of the car looks like too...since that's where most of the dmg was.

and yes, repair job was barf. his comment of "$100 vs $400"...that doesn't even look structurally intact. like they said oh snap a bend - let me take a mallet and just hammer it back lol

That's EXACTLY what it looks like was done.. I was thinking, hmm I could have done a repair better than that with a rubber mallet...

Funny he's asking $1700 for them when they were all damaged (if i remember correctly) I'm thinking $1k at max...

Nothing for the time being. I luv this car but it doesn't warrant the once a weekend joy ride / date night and the bill I have to foot for something that leaves the garage 4 times a month.

I have no idea what I want But maybe more mods for jess' car!

lol good choice. better off having a paid off garage queen than one that you pay monthly on while it depreciates

Exactly! My last one didn't depreciate but by like 5% Retail in two years So i was happy to basically rent the car for a few bucks. I have zero idea of what I want eventually. I wish they would bring the supra back... I would buy it. I like the old ones but I'm not sure if I want to put that much work into a car, I'm getting lazy with old age.

Wheels are going up for sale..

Figured I'll give locals a shot first.

Shelby Series 1 wheels (made by Speedline America)
F: 18x10 et22 (et47 + 25mm spacer = et22)
R: 18x12 et28

The fronts will have brand new 235/35/18 Falken 912, and the rears will have 1 Michelin 285/30/18 and 1 Pirelli P-Zero Rosso.

Instead of the colored faces, the wheels are now fully polished, with painted gold rivets.

I'll take $3000 for them OBO..or if you have any good wheels for trade.

Ha! I just updated my CIC navigation data to 2012 Premium for less than $100.

I wished I hadn't started at 10:00 considering the update process takes 3 hours for 22GB of data but it worked! I'll drive around this weekend and see it it's improved at all, especially with the toll roads.

I've got the latest copies of CCC DVDs as well if anyone's interested.

The CIC update process is ridiculous... It costs around $400, accounting for the FSC code and 1.5 hours of shop labor to "install" over Ethernet or MOST.

I first attempted to buy the update DVDs outright from Tischer but the part number has been blocked from ordering. Someone pointed me to an active BitTorrent with the 2012 data, 22GB worth, spanning three DVDs. I don't know if the torrent is active any longer but I let my PC run for a week while I was out of town and managed to pull it down.

There is a brief thread about this topic in the ConnectedDrive/Navigation forum of a guy overseas who will offer you the FSC code as a service, and he seems to be the cheapest I've found yet. He emailed my code after I sent my payment and VIN over.

I just bought a really nice Bosch auto battery charger and needed to connect the car to it while the update process ran. After entering the activation FSC, the whole process took about three hours.

so basically, you have all the DVD's and it copies the DVD's over. all we need to do is buy FSC codes?

i would do it but i rarely use my navi as it is...and i'm wondering if there's even much updated.
