Breaking news: BMW.ca still sucks

Anyone else finding that the configurator no longer works? At least not for me using the latest mac version of Firefox, Chrome or Safari. I just get the "Loading" dialogue but it never works.

Occasionally it crashes on me too. I prefer Chrome on mac. Seems to work the best. I don't use safari or firefox in general anymore.

But you're right, the US config is better than the CA one from a tech perspective.

Try updating Java on your machine, the "build your own" applet takes a minute to load.

Never had problem with Chrome or Explorer on PC. Maybe you should update your Java.

It works fine on my pc, but not on the Mac. I guess we need to download software to explore the site.

Java is automatically updated on the mac via software update. No new Java updates as far as I can tell.

Personally I think it's retarded that they use Java at all, given that it isn't 1998 any more.

BMW USA 'build your own' is Java based as well, does this site load for you?

http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/content/byo/default.aspx

If not, try reinstalling:

Yes, it loads just fine. The only thing that has changed recently on my laptop is upgrading to OS X 10.7.2 (Lion), but I'm running the most recent version of Java.
