Hey guys,
I have an 06 330i that I picked up a few months ago from carmax. I started noticing that sometimes when a passenger gets in the front, the airbag & seatbelt lights comes on. I've done some research an found that BMW extended the warranty on a few airbag components to ten years/unlimited miles. Called my local BMW dealer, they told me I have to bring it in, pay $180 for an inspection, and if its covered they will not charge me anything. My concern; in my experience with dealers, they usually always charge. I'm currently out if work and $180 is tough to pay. So, question number one: is there a way to just bypass the sensor so it will stop giving me the error. Or Question number two: does anyone work at a dealership in the SoCal area that can check this for me?? Much appreciated! -D
