Street racing E92 impounded

Just thought this was interesting as I noticed a E92 in there. Has to be a forum member.

If you ask me he’s just lucky he wasn’t racing a charcoal-deleted N52... he woulda lost AND been impounded.

I took myself back thinking it was lol. Was gonna say the n54 guys would meme him down since it would be an n55 then that couldn't run away. I think the 335is has one under there too

I confirmed with CHP it was a 328 6MT with a stage 3 intake, charcoal delete and headers. The arresting officer followed the cars for 30 seconds before he realized they were racing. The officer noted approx 12 gear changes before a noticeable bang likely from failed manifold bolts at which point the vehicle in question came to a rolling stop. The driver refused to give his name and kept mumbling something about living his life a 1/4 mile at a time. The officer quickly calculated that the driver completes 4 x 1/4 mile races every minute of his life so he was immediately arrested.

probably no .... more so if he was street racing. Probably a kid working at the supermarket driving a 54 thinking he is rich. I see them everywhere where I live

no wonder those poor cars lost so much value. These kids cant even afford to maintain them and just get rid of them for cheap after the first expensive repair

I actually looked it up after seeing this and there seem to be widespread discounts on the 30-day impound fees. I saw as low as $20/day which is pretty damn reasonable because you're right--$120/day is a standard fare around here. They're also in Fresno, so lower cost of land should reduce the storage fees compared to bay/LA/sac/SD, etc.
